Dedicated to Mindy

It's been more than a week since my ex manager, Mindy, has left Don3.
Well, it has been very valuable, having her around since the day
I tried to submit my resume to the shop. My first impression; this girl was very hard-working and extremely serious. When I was just a newbie staff there, she used to be the only female figure who gave me oral instructions on 'what I should do' and 'whatI should not do'.
I still remember my initial training period as a cashier with her.. and honestly i felt
pressurised & stressed! Yet, she always asked me to smile when doing customer service no matter how contradicting my own emo & condition of the day.
The result - I could do fake smile anytime now and no longer screw up whenever there is a
long queue. Thanks to her training!

Not only being strict and almost 100% 'prefect like' supervisor,
there is something special about Mindy. Once you get to know her, you will discover that she posses excellent customer service, and no doubt, having rare talent. The title of 'Main Cashier Queen' simply suits her.  Moreover, I felt touched when I saw her defending the staffs when they were bullied by the customers.

A year of experience working with Mindy was worth it. She did scolded me when I made
mistakes. But she was patient and understanding. I like it when she was the only one who
could sense ' something isn't right with Jess' when nobody does.
Besides, we are friends who have gone through laughters  and problems together. And I do cherish all the time we have been together. I wish her the best for her next career.
Surely she will become big boss one day! Wish you happy dai ga ze!

Ferris Wheel

Sunday-9th March, 11pm; my second time for Ferris Wheel Ride. I took the ride alone last year
for the initial. This year, I went during Moomba Festival. The night view was actually better and I had companion at least for the latter. Yet, the ride was a bit disappointing as you had to share with strangers which created awkward situation and the timing was shorter compared to my first ride.

Crystal's Farewell Dinner

Date: 080308
Location: Rize on Brunswick Street
Comment: the Schezhuan Food here is just delicious!

About Crystal: one of the cashier girls from don3 that I like best; pretty, smart and nice.
I love her friendliness and her smile best, especially her Pure Cantonese accent.
Wishing her happiness and success always =p

The Giver

Remembering the time when things turned up-side-down, when situation seemed to be unable to comprehend. Sometimes, it is really not the path.. but the Guardian that concerns.

There was a night when all the merriment was left empty inside. Yet, it contained sense of relief for the truth that had been revealed.
However, good things just happened unexpectedly and I wonder why.
The truth is, when I was in the solitary mood, a companion was there all of a sudden; in terms of giving, assurance, quality time and care.
Ironically, the giver had not an inkling of what was going on .
Maybe the giver was not even aware of the lasting impression.
I could assure that my gratitude is genuinely deep.

Still, it was the timing that made me wonder.
The night indeed, had become a moment full of memories.

Poulet sauté

Inspired by my ex-manager's French Cuisine recipe, I cooked this simple dish during Sunday dinner for friends. My pleasure that it suited everyone's taste.
